What this website does with your information

Email is convenient but it isn’t a secure or HIPAA-protected channel. Please don’t put diagnoses, prescription details, insurance ID numbers or other health information into an email you send us from this website. For anything sensitive, call the office directly at 516-612-0736 and we’ll take it from there.

Prescriptions and referrals should come from your provider’s office through the usual channels, not through this website.

The Products page has a shortlist, so you can save items while browsing and compare them later. That list is kept in your own browser’s local storage — it stays on your device, it isn’t sent to us, and we can’t see it. The same applies to any item you type into the “Don’t see what you need?” box, and to whether you last used the grid or list view.

You can clear it at any time with the “Clear all” button in the shortlist panel, or by clearing your browser’s site data. Nothing here is a tracking cookie and none of it identifies you.

Only when you send it. The buttons on this site open your own email app or phone dialler with the message prepared — you decide whether to send. If you email a shortlist, we receive the product names you saved and whatever else you type into that email. If you call, we have your phone number as you’d expect from any phone call.

There are no contact forms on this site and no submissions are posted to a server.

We use Google Analytics to see which pages and products people look at, so we know what to stock and what to fix. It reports on visits in aggregate — pages viewed, roughly where visitors came from, what kind of device they used. We don’t use it to identify individuals, and it isn’t connected to any patient or order record.

If you’d rather not be counted, browser privacy settings, most ad blockers, and Google’s own opt-out add-on all prevent it.

The site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs including visitor IP addresses, as any web host does. The map on our contact page is embedded from Google Maps, and loading that page means your browser contacts Google. We don’t control what those companies collect; their own privacy policies apply.

This page is about the website. Once you become a customer — by phone, by referral, or in person — the information we hold to supply equipment and bill your insurance is handled under our obligations as a healthcare supplier, not under this policy. Ask the office if you’d like details on that.
